Being prepared to share the message of the gospel is about way more that what we know.
Now don't hear me wrong; It's so good to be informed and knowledgeable about many things - it makes for genuine dialog, and discussion! But the heart of witnessing is about soo much more than what you know.
All of us who call ourselves Believers can testify to the fact that we have witnessed God do something in our lives. Being ready to give an account for the hope we have is so much more than an intellectual conversation we need to be prepared for, it's a heart stance.
It's a willingness to daily want to declare the love of we have found in our saviour to anyone who wants to know about Him. It's an eagerness to want others to experience the hope we have in life and in death. It's a posture of expectancy, asking the Lord to provide opportunities for us to share His call to repentance and reconciliation with God to those around us.
Being ready isn't about how sharp your theology is and how hard you study, Christian. It is about a constant want and a desire to make the Lord known, a willingness to share what He has done for you, and the great story of redemption He has in store for those who will put their trust in Him!
Are you ready?
